My recent work in ceramics is a response to
experiences and observations while developing
research in Asia.
Influenced by architecture and the environment,
I combined fluid curves with mechanical edges to
create bold, simple forms.
I experiment with the passage of light through open
spaces to alter spatial perceptions and I explore
ways to conceal space through the use of layers and
folds within my work.
Through investigating the intimate relationships
between objects as part of a group or pair, I
intend for a dialogue to be formed between the
pieces of work, which, are engaging to the viewer.
